#2 Oklahoma State scored early and often, opening up a 49-0 halftime lead en route to a trouncing of Texas Tech 66-6. That's the most points ever given up by the Red Raiders.
Playing in snazzy uniforms for the Wounded Warrior game, Tech committed 3 turnovers in the first half and quickly fell behind 21-0 after 1 quarter.
The Red Raiders finally got on the board in the third when Cornelius Douglas returned a fumble 37 yards for a touchdown, but they missed the extra point.
OSU QB Brandon Weeden was 31 of 37 for 423 yards and 5 TD passes before being replaced in the 3rd Quarter. OSU had 637 yards of total offense.
Seth Doege was 25-43 for 169 yards and an interception.
It's shocking to think this Red Raider team went to Oklahoma and shocked the Sooners. Since that win, Tech has been outscored 159-33 in losses to Iowa State, Texas and Oklahoma State.
Tech is now 5-5 and 2-5 in the Big 12. The Red Raiders must win 1 of their final 2 games at Missouri or against Baylor at Cowboys Stadium to become Bowl Eligible.
Up next a visit to Missouri 2:30 next Saturday. The Tigers beat #16 Texas 17-5 Saturday.
