Lubbock attorney settles after he was sued for contingency fee

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock attorney on Friday settled out of court in a case that made statewide news.   Kevin Glasheen represented men who had been wrongfully imprisoned.  Three of them sued him. They claimed that his 25 percent contingency fee was excessive.

Glasheen not only helped them get settlements with the state, but he also lobbied the legislature to pay them $80,000 per year that they were imprisoned.

Details of the settlement are confidential.  A state bar complaint against Glasheen is still pending.
