O'Donnell man dead after Friday accident

TAHOKA, TX (KCBD) -

An O'Donnell man is dead following a Friday morning accident in Lynn County.

Alberto Castro, 23, died Saturday at Covenant Medical Center after injuries he sustained in an SUV rollover.

Authorities say Castro was driving south on U-S 87 just three miles north of Tahoka when his vehicle veered into the west side of the road.

That's when police say he tried to swerve back into the center of the road, but lost control. His SUV rolled into a ditch on the side of the highway. Castro was ejected and investigators believe he was not wearing a seat belt.

Police also believe alcohol may have been a factor. No other vehicles were involved.
