Muleshoe police issue warning to parents

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Muleshoe police issued a warning to parents Monday after a junior high school student was followed by a white van.

Lt. Benny Parker of the Muleshoe Police Department tells us the girl was walking home from Watson Junior High on Thursday, Nov. 10 when a white cargo van pulled up beside her and followed her down the street.

The girl ran down an alley to hide and saw the van turning down nearby alleys, apparently searching for her.

Muleshoe police advise children and parents to be alert for suspicious vehicles.
