Senior forward Haley Fowler is preparing to lead her Smyer Lady Cats team to a third straight 1-A State Title, but for a few minutes Monday, the do-it-all forward took some time out of her busy schedule to sign her Letter of Intent to Lubbock Christian University.
"It's very good to have this decided and not have to worry about where I want to go," said the senior forward. "I can just concentrate on my senior year and another great basketball season."
Fowler averaged over 25 points points-per-game last season and also led her team in rebounds in 2010.
"Haley can do it all," said Fowler's high school coach, Leland Bearden. "She can post up, she can take people off the dribble, she can shoot the three. She's just a fantastic player."
Fowler is a three-time TABC All-State selection and two-time State Tournament Most Valuable Player.
