LISD Student Brings Gun To School

NewsChannel 11 has learned a Lubbock 2nd grader is suspended after bringing a gun to school.

The student brought an inoperable gun to Dupree Elementary on Wednesday, after he found the gun in a piece of luggage at his house. Because the student's only 7 years old, he was not arrested, but rather suspended for three days.

LISD says no students were ever in any danger.
