Picture perfect dogs need adoption

Just about anyone who has ever walked into an animal shelter knows the feeling the heartache of walking past dozens of pets who desperately need homes. In Austin,  a photographer is hoping her camera will help some lucky dogs find their forever families. She's been snapping glamour shots of the pooches, to help draw people in.

There are no cars in Naomi Worley's garage. Just her camera, a few lights, and lots of color. For five years she's specialized in child and family photography. In the past two weeks, she's been focused on dogs.

Dogs like Tippy who've been in a shelter a while are waiting to be adopted. "I'd always get so emotional just seeing them in there and it's like I know they all want to get out, I know they all want a home." Naomi approached the Austin Humane Society with the offer, free photo shoots for every dog that desperately needs a home.

"They say a picture is worth a thousand words you know, you can get that really good photo in and that can just get people in there. You know it can make a huge difference.,"believes Naomi.

She tries everything from toys, to treats, and odd noises to get pooches to pose. Once she gets that perfect shot she post the picture on the shelter's website and facebook page. She is just hoping to help these dogs find a home.

Naomi plans on volunteering as long as she can and has two more photo shoots set up this week. The pictures may not be as fancy, but if you want to find pets available for adoption in your area, you can always visit petfinder.com.
