SEMINOLE, TX (KCBD) -

Seminole High School was evacuated Wednesday morning amid talk of a bomb threat.

The Seminole Police Chief says Angel Eduardo Contreras, 17, was taken into custody and is held at the Gaines County Jail. The Chief says Contreras is charged with making a terrorist threat.

Classes were back to normal by noon after Seminole Police and the Gaines County Sheriff's Deputies looked through the building.  However classes were interrupted a second time so that a more thorough search could be done by the Lubbock County Bomb Detection Unit.

Seminole Superintendent Doug Harriman says a student made a verbal bomb threat to a teacher's aide.  Harriman says the young man was quoted as saying "it was going to hurt a bunch of kids."

Officials with SISD decided to evacuate the high school.

By 3 p.m. the officers from Lubbock had completed their search and found no bomb.
