With the Red Raiders having lost 4 in a row at home and 3 straight, Former Red Raider Coach Mike Leach says he wishes his former players the best as they try for a bowl game.
The Raiders have two games left. They need to win at least one to become bowl eligible.
"There's always adversity in football," Leach said. "I recruited a lot of the guys on the team and I believe in those guys and certainly wish them the best and hope they go out there and play the best and do the best they can."
Leach said, "Sometimes you have to get the group on the same page, excited to play and excited what they can do and not worry so much about the other guys."
The 5-5 Red Raiders visit Missouri at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and then face Baylor at Cowboys Stadium the following Saturday at 6 p.m., needing a win to keep bowl hopes alive.
"I wish them the best," Leach said. "They have two games left and need to figure out a way to win them."
