Texas Tech University rang in the holidays with the Salvation Army, Saturday.
The Texas Tech Women's Basketball and Golf Teams, were equipped with hand bells, next to the infamous red kettles outside of the Sam's Club on Marsha Sharp Freeway.
The Salvation Army raises money to feed families throughout the year, and this year, Tech Student Athletes decided to get in on the giving
"It shows how thankful other people are, walking by, it shows good hearts giving money for charity," Monique Smalls, TTU Basketball player, said.
The athletes also rang bells at the United Supermarkets off of 82nd and Frankford.
