Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The restoration of 34th Street between Indiana Avenue and Avenue Q is not far off.  Bids are due on the project December 20th, with up to $15,725 million set aside.  The City already spent $5 million in engineering, and planning.

Once the City and a contractor come to a final deal, there is a 343 day deadline to complete the project.  It includes new pavement for the lanes of travel as well as new sidewalks and curbs.  The winning bidder will be instructed to provide access to businesses during the project.

Separately the city will have a restoration project of 34th from Indiana to Slide.
