LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The national air carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air, has made it easier to fly from Lubbock to the Middle East and vice versa.  On Sunday, Gulf Air announced an expanded codeshare agreement with American Airlines in Lubbock and other mid-size cities.

A codeshare allows two airlines book passengers on the same plane.  Theoretically, it makes flights both cheaper and more convenient for passengers.  Gulf Air already had an agreement with American Airlines.  Lubbock is one of 22 cities in the expansion of the codeshare.
