Lubbock Man Shot In the Face Outside His Home

A scary confrontation for a Lubbock man ended with him getting shot in the face.

NewsChannel 11 learned from police that 22-year-old Gary Tyler was confronted by two black males in the middle of his apartment complex around 6:15 Wednesday morning. One of the suspects pulled a gun and put it in Tyler's mouth. When he backed away, Tyler was shot once in the mouth. The wound is not thought to be life-threatening.

NewsChannel 11 called Covenant for information on Tyler's condition, but his current status was not available.

Lubbock Police are still looking for the two suspects and urge you to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000 if you have any information.
