Before the big Thanksgiving meal, hundreds of Lubbock residents worked up an appetite by taking part in the 19th Annual Turkey Trot.
Hundreds of runners showed up at Mackenzie Park to run or jog various routes.
Some took the 12k route, which is about 7 miles, while others opted for the 2-mile route.
Race Director Terry Dalton said about 740 participants crossed the finish line today, breaking last year's record of 610.
