ARLINGTON, TX (KCBD) -

Needing a win to be bowl eligible, the Red Raiders couldn't slow down #19 Baylor who had 617 yards of offense, losing 66-42 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The first half was a West Texas shootout. Baylor went up 31-28 as Robert Griffin rushed for 2 touchdowns and threw for another.

Seth Doege completed a plethora of passes to Eric Ward and Adam James and threw 2 TD passes to Darrin Moore.

Despite knocking Heisman Trophy candidate Robert Griffin out of the game at halftime, Baylor outscored Tech 21-0 to start the 3rd quarter.

Backup QB Nick Florence threw 2 touchdown passes and Joe Williams picked off a Seth Doege pass and returned it 89 yards for a touchdown to make it 52-28.

Kenny Williams rushed for 2 touchdowns for the Red Raiders.

Seth Doege finished 41 of 55 for 343 yards with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

Eric Ward set a single game reception record with 16 catches for 151 yards and 2 scores. Adam James had 10 catches for 74 yards.

Baylor's Terrance Ganaway carried the ball 42 times for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns.

With the loss, Tech loses to Baylor for the first time in 16 meetings, and more importantly the Red Raiders bowl eligible streak of 18 years, 4th longest in the nation, comes to an end.

The Red Raiders finish the year 5-6, their first losing season since 1992.
