For the second time in two weeks, Covenant Medical Center has sent workers home for good.
Two weeks ago, six administrators received pink slips, on Friday nine more administrators have been let go. In the hierarchy of the hospital administration the cuts are moving down hill, but completely isolated away from patient care. Of the six let go two weeks ago all were vice presidents, on Friday, nine directors.
As to the reason behind of the layoffs, insiders point to a continuing restructuring of the hospital, and not motivated out of economic distress.
