As colder weather approaches, there is a new campaign to
help Lubbock's homeless community. Embroid Me, a custom embroidery company, is teaming up
with Link Ministries to help keep the people at Tent City warm.
The locally owned company will distribute 10 packages that include a
blanket, a scarf, gloves and a beanie.
"My wife and I were
kind of thinking of ways we could give back and we thought that would be a good
deed," said Caleb Harbison, owner of Embroid Me. "It's about to start getting
cold, so we as a company thought that would be a good idea that we donate some
stuff to them and thought it would be important to get the community involved
as well."
Donations for additional care packages are being accepted at
the business located at 82nd Street and Slide Road.
