One dead after West Lubbock crash

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person is dead after a pickup and sedan collided in West Lubbock around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday night.

Lubbock Police Sgt. John Hayes says the driver of a black pickup, 22 year-old Zachary Hunt, was headed east on the Marsha Sharp Freeway.  Hunt was attempting  to turn north on Milwaukee when he was hit by 27 year-old Brandon Coronado.  Coronado was headed west on Marsha Sharp. Sgt. Hayes says Coronado ran a red light causing the accident.  Brandon Coronado died at the scene.  The driver of the pickup,Zachary Hunt, suffered minor injuries.
