The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office was out in force Thursday night rounding up people accused of writing hot checks.
Lubbock County Assistant District Attorney Wade Jackson said there are roughly 117 people who wrote about $82,000 dollars worth of bad checks around the South Plains.
Jackson said about 22 officials from the area are seeking out the suspects.
Suspects may be given a chance to pay back some of the money - others will go to jail.
KCBD will have more on this story as arrests are made.
