Paying Schools for Financial Excellence

The state hopes new incentive plans will set a course for educational excellence. On Monday, Texas Governor Rick Perry unveiled partial details of a new plan that would pay schools for reaching certain goals. For example, the High School Advancement Incentive would pay schools $600 for each student they keep in school between 9th and 12th grades.

The governor will release more details on the plan later this week. To read the entire news release issued by Governor. Perry on plans to pay for education excellence, (click here).
