Conservative confab in Lubbock seeks to reshape Legislature

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Some local Conservatives believe that the Texas Legislature has not been Conservative enough.  They're holding a "Conservative Leaders Project" meeting Monday evening.  An invitational flier says, "Despite the state's conservative nature, lackluster politicians have failed to adequately represent the people."

That same flier says the project will "look at how empowered citizens can re-shape the Texas Legislature."  It also says, "You'll learn how to be an engaged, empowered and effective conservative leader for a stronger Texas!"

The meeting is sponsored by Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Americans for Integrity in Government and the South Plains Tea Party.
