Abernathy Woman Recovering After Serious Car Accident

An Abernathy woman is in serious condition after hitting an overpass support pillar on I-27 earlier this week.

Rescue crews used the jaws of life to pull Stacie Abernathy from her vehicle Wednesday night. Police say she lost control of her car and hit a pillar on I-27 near Avenue Q after overcorrecting to avoid another vehicle.
