Three victims from an El Paso house explosion are being treated for burns at a Lubbock hospital Saturday. The explosion at an El Paso house killed three children and their father.
It also injured two women, ages 35 and 55, and an eight year-old boy. Those three are being treated for burns at University Medical Center. The blast started a fire and caused part of the roof to collapse.
One woman was pulled from the burning house, and held back by neighbors as she tried to go back inside to rescue the children.
"We all feel bad, guilty, sad. Because those kids didn't have to die. We should have helped. We didn't. We just left them alone. Nobody helped them," says Lilia Martinez.
The relationship of all those involved is not known at this time. El Paso fire officials tell NewsChannel 11 that some of those involved may actually be from Juarez, Mexico.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the explosion.
