Six people are in the hospital after a two car collision in East Lubbock Tuesday night.
The accident happened just before 8pm at the intersection of 19th Street and Canyon Lake Drive where police at the scene tell NewsChannel 11 that the Mercury Sable failed to yield the right of way to the Chrysler Cirrus. The Cirrus, which had five people inside, T-boned the Sable and both vehicles were thrown off the roadway.
There were two people inside the Mercury, and everyone suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Mercury refused treatment and was detained. According to police marijuana was found inside the car and he was considered a suspect in a pending drug case.
