LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Health inspectors surprised nearly fifty Lubbock restaurants this week, landing more than a dozen of them on our Food For Thought menu. Health inspectors gave rave reviews to dozens of Lubbock restaurants this week, from fried chicken to fresh salads; we have a massive menu of perfect scores. Our tour of perfections starts at the 50 Yard Line Steakhouse at 2549 S. Loop 289. You may have hit this spot for some good quality "mic" time, Adolph's Grill and Bar at 5131 Aberdeen adds a top performer to their list of tunes. It's fast food paradise: the Dairy Queens at 8105 Indiana, 2311 Avenue Q, and 6925 University all had perfect scores. Popeye's at 5102 Slide, Jack in the Box at 4328 50th, and the Taco Villas at 4516 50th, 5402 4th, 5139 80th, and 7110 Quaker all bagged zero critical violations. Just in time for the holidays, Glazed Honey Ham Co. at 3424 82nd rang in a perfect score. Schlotzsky's at 8101 Indiana, Souper Salad at 6703 Slide, and Little Caesars Pizza at 4423 50th, all made the cut. If you get hungry when you hit the road for holiday traveling, Chisum Travel Center at 2611 E. Slaton Highway dishes up plates of perfection. For a little taste of Mexico, and perfection, hit Mamarita's Border Cafe at 6602 Slide Road. You can follow your sweet tooth to United Supermarkets Bakery at 112 North University. Whitewood Lanes at 3632 50th wraps up this week's top performers.
