Texas Tech football's future shined bright Thursday afternoon--one future star, on a Texas-sized stage.
Reginald Davis, a projected wide receiver at the college level and Red Raider commit, racked up 242 passing yards, with 226 yards on the ground(5 total touchdowns) on a regionally-televised state championship game. A Davis-led Tenaha team rolled past Munday, 52-28.
Meanwhile, future Red Raider quarterback Clayton Nicholas made his mark while off the field. The Associated Press named Nicholas an honorable mention 5-A All-State selection. The Abilene Cooper gun slinger threw for 2,941 yards, 26 touchdowns in his senior season.
Also, running back commit Quinton White was tabbed as a 5-A All-State player for his efforts as a punter. White's A&M Consolidated Tigers ended their season with a 5-6 record.
