Anette Carlisle announces candidacy for District 15

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A new candidate for District 15 on the State Board of Education has been announced. Anette Carlisle announced the start of her campaign Thursday.

She is currently board president for Amarillo ISD.

She has been endorsed by Lubbock attorney Bob Craig who currently holds the position in District 15. Craig has already announced he will not seek re-election.

Carlisle says if she is elected she will use her experience to help children and build the future of Texas.

District 15 covers 77 counties of west Texas.
