Tech Turns 81 - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A very special birthday bash was held on the Texas Tech campus on Saturday. The Tech Alumni Association held a party in celebration of the university's 81st birthday.

Festivities included a birthday cake and performances by the "Goin' Band from Raiderland."

A Tech student won the big door prize: free tuition for a semester. Tech was founded on February 10th, 1923 as Texas Technological College.
