A Winter Storm Warning is
in effect from 3 pm this afternoon to 6 am tomorrow for Parmer and Castro
counties, and includes the towns of Friona, Bovina, Dimmitt and Hart.
This Winter Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected
or are occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make
travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel keep an extra
flashlight, clothing, food, and water in your vehicle.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 pm this afternoon to 6 am
tomorrow for Swisher, Briscoe, Bailey, Lamb, Hale, Hall, Floyd and Cochran
counties, and includes the towns Memphis, Turkey, Floydada, Lockney, Morton,
Tulia, Silverton, Quitaque, Muleshoe, Littlefield, Olton and Plainview.Snow accumulations of one to three inches are possible, with deeper drifts.
This Winter Weather Advisory indicates periods of snow will cause, primarily,
travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities. Use caution while driving.
No weather advisories are in effect for Lubbock or points south and east at
this time.
