LUBBOCK,TX (KCBD) -
It was a close call, but gifts for thousands of the South Plain's less fortunate are getting delivered. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program needed almost 4300 adoptions.
The program is aimed at providing holiday gifts to underprivileged kids and seniors. Major Mike Morton with the Salvation Army said they almost fell short of their goal. Thanks to a large shipment of toys from the Marine Corp's Toys for Tots drive, they'll be able to fill the toys for the forgotten angels.
