LUBBOCK,TX (KCBD) -
Lubbock Citibus is again doing what it can to go green. Two eco-friendly hybrid electric buses were added to the fleet.
The buses were paid for by federal grants and transportation development credits from the State of Texas. Citibus received six e-hybrid buses back in November of 2009. This kind of bus saves 40% on fuel costs. Officials say this is the second step for Citibus in its goal to shrink the carbon foot-print in the city of Lubbock.
