Undercover Agent in Tulia Drug Busts Gets Day in Court

The lone undercover agent in the controversial 1999 Tulia drug busts now has his own court date in May. Tom Coleman is accused of aggravated perjury for allegedly lying on the witness stand during hearings in March 2003. Coleman was testifying about evidence he gathered during a drug bust that put 46 people in jail, 39 of whom were black.

Last August, Governor Rick Perry pardoned 35 of the 38 who were prosecuted solely on Coleman's word.
