Burn ban lift clears the way for fireworks sales

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock County commissioners lifted the burn ban last week, clearing the way for New Year's fireworks across the South Plains.

Ten fireworks stands are opening up in Lubbock Monday, and they plan to stay open until midnight New Year's Eve.

But remember, it's still illegal to set off fireworks within the Lubbock city limits.
