U.S. Senator John Cornyn hosted the meeting in Washington D.C. to discuss issues that are important to the West Texas Region.
"We welcomed them to our nation's capitol to talk about issues that are important to the Hub City, issues like Texas Tech and higher education, transportation, Ports to Plains with the transportation bill being on the floor this week, and of course, agriculture," said Cornyn.
Some of the participants included Eddie McBride, President of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Duffy Hinkle with the Ports to Plains Project and Steve Verett of Plains Cotton Growers.
