The Red Raiders pushed their way above .500 for the season with a 74-58 win over Cal State-Bakersfield Tuesday night.
Tech was led by Jordan Tolbert's team-high 27 points and six rebounds. Javarez "Bean" Willis also added 16 points and three steals for the Red Raiders.
Overall, it was a good shooting day for Tech, who shot 60-percent from the field, on the way to the 16-point win in front of over 10,000 fans at the United Spirit Arena.
Turnovers have been the Red Raiders' main flaw thus far in the season, averaging around 20 per game. However, the team limited their mistakes to 13 turnovers against the Roadrunners, and they forced CSU-Bakersfield into 19 turnovers.
Tech plays Southeastern Louisiana Friday, at home, as their last non-conference game. The Red Raiders travel to Stillwater, Ok., to take on Oklahoma State January 4th.
