Two LISD students sent home from Rose Parade trip for rule violations

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Roughly 450 LISD students are headed to Pasadena to perform in the Rose Parade this week, but two students are already on their way back home.

LISD spokesperson Nancy Sharp said, "Two students were sent home on Wednesday, at their parents' expense, for violating trip rules while the band was traveling to California. All of the almost 500 students on the trip are aware that there are severe consequences for breaking trip rules and that is exactly what happened. The trip continued without incident."

LISD has not confirmed the specific nature of the rules violation.

The LISD marching bands will be performing at 10 a.m. Lubbock time on Monday, Jan. 2. You can watch the event live on KCBD NewsChannel 11.
