The unemployment rate dropped last month to its lowest level in almost three years. The Labor Department's Report shows unemployment dropped to 8.5% with U.S. employers adding a net 200,000 jobs.
The economy has added 100,000 jobs or more each month for the past six months. In all of 2011 the economy added 1.6 million jobs. That's up from 940,000 jobs added in 2010.
President Obama is expected to talk about the report later today.
