LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Lubbock County Commissioner Bill McCay announced his bid for re-election Monday.
He is seeking his 3rd term as precinct one commissioner and made the announcement at the county courthouse.
He says one of his greatest challenges will be addressing growth in Lubbock County.
"It's a great problem to have. I mean, there are many counties that are not growing. Lubbock county is growing. More and more folks are buying homes out in the county. Out in rural parts of the county, subdivisions. And so we're working with - and want to work with - developers and West Texas home builders and different folks to work together so that we can have quality environments out in the county for homes," McCay said.
McCay is being challenged by former city councilman Frank Morrison
