Neugebauer and Stenholm Work To Make Names Known In District 19

The U.S. Congressional race for District 19 is sending candidates across West Texas to meet voters.

On Tuesday current District 19 Congressman Randy Neugebauer toured several Lubbock sites. Neugebauer's day began at the Texas Tech Institute of Environmental and Human Health at the Reese Technology Center. Just after lunch he toured the South Plains Food Bank and on Tuesday night, the Congressman attended the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Banquet.

Meanwhile, the Neugebauer's Democratic opponent, Congressman Charlie Stenholm, began his 20-city tour of District 19 as well.

On another election note, former Amarillo Mayor Kel Seliger won a Special Election for the District 31 State Senate Seat on Tuesday. Seliger succeeds fellow Republican Teel Bivins who resigned from the legislature to become U.S. Ambassador to Sweden.
