The lead attorneys for Mike Leach asked to be removed from his pending lawsuit against Texas Tech on Wednesday.
The law firm Dobrowski, Larkin and Johnson filed the necessary paperwork with the Texas Supreme Court because both sides are waiting on a ruling from the high court before the case can come back to Lubbock for any further proceedings.
In the documents, they say Leach is ok with their request for removal, and the Liggett Law Group would take over the lead for Leach's lawsuit against Tech.
However, the records don't say why they requested the removal.
Leach is suing Texas Tech for wrongful termination.
