HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Hockley County swore in their new Interim Sheriff on Friday, as Chief Deputy Paul Scarborough was sworn in.

Friday was the last official day for former sheriff Kevin Davis.

Davis says he will be pursuing work in the private sector.

Even though Scarborough will serve as interim sheriff, he will need to run for that office in the Nov. 6 election if he wants to remain on the job.
