Ports To Plains To Name Lubbock Man As President

The Ports to Plains Trade Corridor was in need of a new leader and they found him here in Lubbock.

For the past two years Michael Reeves has served as Vice President of Governmental Affairs to the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, but on Wednesday night NewsChannel 11 learned he will be the next President of the Ports to Plains Corridor. The Ports to Plains Board unanimously decided to offer Reeves the position.

The Ports-to-Plains Trade Corridor is a planned, multi-lane divided highway that will facilitate the efficient transportation of goods and services from Mexico, through West Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma, and ultimately on into Canada on the Pacific Northwest.
