The #10 Texas Tech Lady Raiders trailed the Lady Cats from Kansas State by 10 points heading into the locker room at half.
They fought furiously in the second half to close the gap and did so late in the second half. They took the lead over the Lady Cats with a little over 6 minutes to go in the game but were unable to hold on despite having three shots at winning the game within the last 20 seconds. The final score was 62-21 K-State.
The Lady Raiders had 3 girls in double figures and were led by Kierra Mallards 18 points and 8 rebounds. Christine Hyde and Casey Morris each had 10 points as well in the loss.
Next up for the Lady Raiders is a home game Wednesday night as they host the #1 ranked Baylor Lady Bears.
