Another South Plains county lifts its burn ban. Friday morning Terry County to the southwest of Lubbock temporarily lifted its restriction on outdoor burning from now until February 13.
There are a few rules; for example, residents cannot burn when the wind is higher than 20 miles per hour, and residents must call ahead to the Terry County Sheriff's Department before starting a controlled burn.
As of Friday other counties that had lifted burn bans included Lubbock, Bailey, Hale, Floyd, Hockley, and Dickens.
