LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
EMS rushed a bicyclist to the hospital after he was struck by a car Sunday afternoon near 50th and I-27. Police say the driver was not at fault, and had the green light at the intersection.
Eyewitness Don Howard sells papers at that intersection every weekend and says he's never seen anything like this before.
"I saw the bike crossing the crosswalk right there and the car making a left -- turning, going pretty quick, and hit him," said Howard. "And I looked back, heard the noise and I looked back and then I seen him flying in the air."
Luckily the bicyclist only had minor injuries.
