The 17th-ranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders fought hard but fell short, losing at home Wednesday night 72-64 to the #1 Lady Bears from Baylor.
The Lady Raiders were looking to rebound from a tough loss to K-State over the weekend, but the undefeated Lady Bears had other plans.
Christine Hyde was one of five Lady Raiders scoring in double digits. She had a team high 15 points. Kierra Mallard had 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Baylor star center Brittney Griner had a game high 21 points.
You may remember Griner from back in 2010 when she was ejected for punching Lady Raider Jordan Barncastle in the face. Fortunately no punches were thrown Wednesday night.
The Lady raiders look to rebound from 2 straight losses Sunday as they hit the road to take on Iowa State.
