The first high-speed Internet customer in Slaton. (Provided by NTS)
Things are looking up for one of Lubbock's largest employers.
For the last few years, the parent company of NTS has been losing money, but this week Xfone told its investors that revenue from high-tech fiber services is up 30 percent.
That's comparing the fourth quarter of 2011 with 2010.
NTS also announced that it now has high speed Internet service for Slaton.
* Corrected: We originally reported a 30% increase in "income". The correct term is "revenue".
