Patients Remain Hospitalized

Ten out of 17 victims in Thursday's massive pileup remain hospitalized at University Medical Center. Covenant released all six of its patients.

55-year-old tractor-trailer driver Luis Guzman of New Mexico died at the scene. His passenger, 55-year-old Tomasa Guzman of Friona died at University Medical Center.

The accident started around 2:30pm just as the winds picked up, reducing visibility to near zero. The chain reaction collision forced authorities to shut down Highway 84 near Post in both directions.
