LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Two people were taken to the hospital Monday after a collision at the intersection of east Regis and east Kent Street.

Police tell us 29-year-old Leah Shultz was driving west on east Regis Street around 8 a.m.

She was attempting to pass another vehicle when she hit a truck driven by 40-year-old Kriss Morrow who was driving east.

Police had to use the Jaws Of Life to get Schultz out of the car.

She was flown to UMC by AeroCare where she is in satisfactory condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

Morrow suffered a broken leg and was taken to UMC by EMS. Morrow was also in satisfactory condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
