The Lady Raiders losing streak continued on the road as Kansas's Carolyn Davis scored 34 points, leading the Lady Jayhawks past #21 Texas Tech 62-43.
The Lady Raiders were without their leading scorer Kierra Mallard, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed injury and did not make the trip with the team to Kansas.
"She's suffered an undisclosed injury and was not cleared to play by our team physician," Tech head coach Kristy Curry said. "They recommended that she stay home to get better."
Shauntal Nobles started in her place and had 4 points.
Chynna Brown led Tech in scoring with 11 points. Tech continued their free throw troubles shooting 5 of 13 while they failed to make a three pointing, going 0 for 7.
After winning their first 14 games, Tech has now lost 5 straight and they sit 14-5 overall and 2-5 in the Big 12.
Tech next hosts Texas 2 p.m. on Saturday.
